Good vs Nice Girl

You were praised for being nice. It cost you yourself.

Somewhere early you learned that being agreeable was the price of belonging. Nice keeps the peace by not knowing what you want. Good knows, and can be kind and still say no. A program for women.

A woman lowering a white mask from her face, Good vs Nice Girl program

Does this sound like you?

  • You say yes, and resent it later.
  • You over-explain a simple no.
  • Your anger comes out as tears, or not at all.
  • You’re exhausted from managing everyone else’s feelings.
  • You feel guilty when you rest.
  • You keep a quiet list of resentments no one else can see.

How it shows up in your life

  • Burnout that rest doesn’t fix
  • A swallowed voice in meetings and in love
  • Smiling while your body says no
  • Relationships where you disappear
  • Not knowing what you actually want

None of this means something is wrong with you. It means you adapted, very well, to what you were given.

What we explore, week by week

Choose the whole program, or the sessions that call you.

WEEK 1

The Price of Belonging

Somewhere early you learned that being agreeable was the price of belonging. We look at where “nice” began, and why your body still pays for it.

WEEK 2

Approval or Affirmation

Waiting for someone else’s yes is different from stating your own truth. This week we notice whose approval you are still waiting for, and what your own voice sounds like.

WEEK 3

The Masks of Worth

The helper, the perfect one, the one who never needs. We look at the masks you wear to feel worthy, and what it would feel like to set one down.

WEEK 4

The Body That Says Yes

The swallowed no, the smile that hides exhaustion, the anger that turns into tears. We listen to the body that says yes when you mean no.

WEEK 5

The Shadow Day

The exiled no, the “too much”, the anger you put away to stay nice. We meet them gently, and find the power and the pleasure hidden behind them.

WEEK 6

The Woman Who Belongs to Herself

We close with the woman who can be kind and still say no. We honor what being nice protected, and choose what you add from here.

In their words

“It wasn’t about soothing me or making things more comfortable, but an authentic invitation: ‘Do you want to look at this?’ I wholeheartedly recommend Nico.”

V.P.

“I left the session with peace, clarity and full trust in what is to unfold. Nico has a gentle, radiant and welcoming presence in which I felt held, understood and safe.”

A.M.

“The session was deeply revealing, allowing me to see dynamics I had not been fully aware of before. By the end I felt a renewed sense of clarity and confidence toward my future.”

L.G.

What to expect

  • One 3½-hour live online group session per week
  • Before each session: that week’s masterclass. Please watch it at least a day before and take your time; there is a lot in it
  • When you book: a short online assessment, multiple choice, a few minutes, no pen and paper. It helps you notice what you already know, what you feel and what you want to work on. Please complete it at least a day before you begin
  • A short piece of theory, clear and sourced
  • Guided, body-led work, shadow exercises and archetypal work
  • Time to share, and a group constellation
  • A private online community for your cohort, to stay connected between sessions, with the recordings and masterclasses in one place
  • Each session: the slides, a workbook to print and write in during the session, the recording, the bibliography and key studies on the topic
  • A list of questions to ask your mother and father, if possible: a starting point for your own conversations, to discover more of your family’s story
  • The closing sharing is never recorded, to protect everyone in the room

You leave with words for what you carry, a felt sense of how it lives in your body, and the freedom to choose what you add from here.

Letters from Let Pain Go

Reflections on the patterns we inherit, the roles we learn to play, the places we leave behind, and the parts of ourselves we have yet to meet.
